Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Council Labourer to join our Parks and Green Spaces team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the visual appeal and ecological health of Liverpool, ensuring our public spaces are enjoyed by everyone. You will be performing a variety of manual tasks outdoors, playing a crucial role in maintaining our city’s green infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds maintenance, including litter picking, emptying bins, and waste removal.
  • Undertake basic horticultural tasks such as weeding, planting, and mulching under supervision.
  • Maintain pathways, sports pitches, and other park facilities, ensuring they are safe and tidy.
  • Operate and maintain a range of hand tools and basic powered equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the upkeep and cleaning of park furniture, signage, and play equipment.
  • Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and council policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and project deadlines.
