Job Description
Are you handy with tools and enjoy seeing a project come together? AssemblePro Australia is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Flat Pack Specialists for casual home assembly work in the St Kilda area and surrounding suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for practical tasks to earn income with flexible hours. No professional experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re equipped to handle a variety of furniture assembly tasks. You’ll be working independently, visiting client homes to assemble furniture from various retailers, ensuring a high standard of finish and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client homes within the St Kilda region as per scheduled appointments.
- Efficiently and accurately assemble a wide range of flat pack furniture, including cabinets, beds, wardrobes, and desks, following manufacturer instructions.
- Ensure all components are accounted for and assembled correctly.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices during assembly.
- Maintain a tidy work area and clean up all packaging materials upon completion.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clients and the AssemblePro coordination team.
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency with common hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, Allen keys, drills).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Physical capability to lift and move furniture components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
