Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and responsible Chaperone to join our event staff in Birmingham, AL. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of designated individuals or groups, such as performers, child participants, or VIP guests, during various events. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and positive environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and capable of handling various situations with professionalism and discretion. Full training will be provided regarding specific event protocols and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor assigned individuals or groups during events, rehearsals, or related activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants under your care, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and report any incidents or concerns promptly to management.
  • Facilitate communication between participants and event staff as needed.
  • Provide assistance and support to participants, ensuring their comfort and compliance with event rules.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure participants are at designated locations on schedule.
  • Address minor conflicts or issues that may arise, escalating serious concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Uphold a professional and positive demeanor at all times.

Required Skills

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or unexpected situations.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures (certification preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events demand.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory, childcare, or event support role.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with local event venues and safety regulations.
  • Experience working with minors or diverse groups.
