Job Description
Join EcoPlast Solutions UK as a Biodegradable Plastics Factory Worker and play a vital role in our mission to create sustainable solutions. This full-time position involves working rotating shifts in our Shrewsbury production facility, contributing to the manufacturing process of environmentally friendly plastic alternatives. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn, even if you have no prior manufacturing experience. Full training will be provided to ensure you are proficient in all aspects of your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery for biodegradable plastic manufacturing.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Load and unload materials and finished products efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following 5S principles.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with packaging and warehousing tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25kg.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends).
- Reliable transportation to and from the Shrewsbury facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (advantageous but not required).
- Basic understanding of machinery operation or willingness to learn quickly.
- Forklift certification (desired but not essential, training can be provided).
