Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Exhaust Fitter to join our busy team in Leith, Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn, as full training will be provided. You will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and replacement of vehicle exhaust systems, ensuring all work is carried out to Kwik Fit’s high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle exhaust systems for damage, wear, and leaks.
- Safely remove and replace faulty or damaged exhaust components.
- Fit new exhaust systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with other general workshop duties as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining work undertaken.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to learn and undertake training.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (preferred, but not essential).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive workshop or similar environment (though full training is provided for entry-level candidates).
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics.
