Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Claims Assistant to join our team, supporting public sector clients in managing their workers’ compensation claims. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the smooth and efficient processing of claims, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and delivering excellent service to our clients and their employees. Key Responsibilities

  • Process new workers' compensation claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is received and accurately recorded.
  • Liaise with employees, managers, medical providers, and legal teams to gather information pertinent to claims.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files, both electronic and physical, ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist Claims Adjusters with investigations, scheduling appointments, and preparing reports.
  • Monitor claim statuses, follow up on outstanding information, and escalate complex issues as required.
  • Provide administrative support, including drafting correspondence, managing calendars, and organizing meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, client-specific protocols, and statutory requirements for workers' compensation.
  • Respond to inquiries from claimants, employers, and external parties with professionalism and empathy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims management process.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or claims processing experience.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation processes or public sector administration.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field.
