Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Forensic Accountant to join our dedicated Advisory team in Norwich. This role involves investigating financial discrepancies, analyzing complex financial data, and preparing detailed reports for various clients, including legal entities, businesses, and government bodies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients through intricate financial disputes, fraud investigations, and litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting detailed financial investigations into suspected fraud, embezzlement, and other financial irregularities.
  • Analyzing complex financial records, statements, and transactions to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports, expert witness statements, and presentations to communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Assisting in litigation support, including damage assessments and expert testimony.
  • Collaborating with legal counsel, law enforcement, and other experts as required.
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Staying updated with current forensic accounting practices, legal standards, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in a forensic accounting or related financial investigative role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and investigative techniques.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professional skepticism.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • CFA or CFE certification.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau).
  • Previous experience in a professional services firm or law enforcement financial investigations.
