Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Corporate Event AV Setup Crew. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn about event technology, enjoys hands-on work, and is comfortable with frequent travel to various hotel and conference venues. You will be instrumental in setting up, operating (under supervision), and dismantling state-of-the-art audio visual equipment for a wide range of corporate meetings, conferences, and special events. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point into the exciting world of live events.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport, load, unload, and setup audio visual equipment including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, video cameras, and lighting fixtures.
- Connect and test AV equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal flow.
- Work closely with event managers, technical directors, and clients to understand event requirements and execute setups accurately.
- Provide on-site technical support during events as needed, under the guidance of lead technicians.
- Troubleshoot basic AV issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Dismantle equipment safely and efficiently after events, ensuring proper packing and storage.
- Maintain equipment in excellent working condition and report any damages or malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth event execution.
- Travel frequently to various event sites, including hotels and conference centers.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Basic understanding of electronics or technical aptitude is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and working in diverse environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hands-on role or customer service is a plus.
- Experience using basic hand tools.
