Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Grocery Clerk / Stocker in our busy Wood Green store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in retail, as no prior experience is required. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you are confident and capable in your role from day one. You will play a crucial part in keeping our store well-stocked and tidy, ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience. If you’re a team player with a can-do attitude and are ready for an immediate start, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store deliveries in an organized manner
- Efficiently stock shelves, display cases, and freezers with merchandise
- Ensure products are correctly priced and rotated to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe shopping environment for customers and colleagues
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly service when needed
- Monitor product freshness and remove expired items from shelves
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely (training provided)
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and store policies
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights regularly
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
