Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architecture Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an international candidate as we offer skilled worker visa support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming architectural designs into precise technical drawings and plans, working closely with our architects and project managers. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive construction documents, ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, excellent proficiency in CAD software, and a meticulous approach to drafting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD software.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to translate design concepts into accurate and constructible drawings.
- Ensure all drafting work adheres to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Review and verify accuracy of drawings, performing quality checks to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Incorporate redline markups and revisions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Maintain an organized system for project files and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external consultants regarding project requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in architectural drafting using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong understanding of architectural terminology, building materials, and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated eligibility for a skilled worker visa and willingness to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Architectural Drafting or a related field.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and passive house standards.
- Previous experience working in an architectural firm.
