Job Description
Join GE Aerospace as an Information Security Analyst and play a crucial role in safeguarding our critical assets and proprietary information. You will be instrumental in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, ensuring our systems remain resilient against evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security events to determine their nature and severity.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, collaborating with relevant teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, reporting findings and recommending remediation.
- Support security awareness training initiatives for employees.
- Maintain documentation for security operations, incidents, and configurations.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking protocols.
- Ability to analyze security logs and event data.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Previous experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
