Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis / Renal Nurse to join our highly skilled nephrology team in Bengaluru. This critical role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments for kidney disease. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of renal physiology, dialysis procedures, and patient education. Key Responsibilities
- Administering hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitoring patients during dialysis, assessing vital signs, and responding to any adverse reactions.
- Educating patients and their families on kidney disease management, dietary restrictions, medication adherence, and self-care techniques.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting dialysis equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Documenting all aspects of patient care, treatment parameters, and observations accurately and promptly.
- Collaborating with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensuring a clean, sterile, and safe environment for dialysis treatments.
- Performing vascular access care and assessments.
Required Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in India.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in nephrology or critical care.
- Proficient in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures.
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- BLS/ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or certification in Nephrology Nursing (e.g., CNN, CDN).
- Experience with various dialysis machines and technologies.
- Fluency in local languages (e.g., Kannada) in addition to English.
