Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join our dynamic team at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to deliver outstanding beverage service in a high-volume, premium setting. The role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, and interacting positively with guests to ensure a delightful experience. On-site accommodation is provided as part of the compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards and recipes.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of bar supplies, spirits, and mixers, reporting needs to management.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Adhere to all local and hotel-specific regulations regarding alcohol service and hygiene.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the bar.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns promptly and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of cocktail preparation and drink recipes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar hospitality role.
- Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service.
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
