Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing / Production Engineer to join our innovative team in Brooklyn. This critical role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, ensuring product quality, and reducing operational costs within our production facility. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing lean manufacturing principles, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues; develop and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless product transfer from design to production.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Evaluate and select new manufacturing equipment, tools, and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all production activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 concepts.
