Job Description
Are you passionate about creating happiness through delicious desserts? Cold Stone Creamery in Frederick, MD is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Dessert & Ice Cream Counter Server. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, fun environment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, preparing customized ice cream creations, and ensuring our store is clean and welcoming. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a willingness to learn and a smile!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu choices
- Prepare custom ice cream creations, smoothies, and other desserts according to Cold Stone standards
- Operate point-of-sale systems, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including counter tops, dining area, and equipment
- Stock ingredients and supplies, ensuring product freshness and availability
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus, but not required
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
