Job Description
We are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Nurses (NICU) to join our esteemed team in Pasadena, California. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonates requiring intensive care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and documenting accurately.
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate and support families, providing comfort and guidance during critical times.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment, adhering to all infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with NICU best practices.
- Document all patient care, observations, and interventions thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC).
- Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.
- Previous experience working in a culturally diverse healthcare setting.
