Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operators to join our dynamic construction teams operating across various critical projects in the Chicago metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and document findings.
  • Adhere to all site safety regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order by performing minor maintenance and cleaning as required.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Execute tasks with precision, including grading, trenching, excavation, and material handling.
  • Interpret and work according to project plans, specifications, and instructions.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant heavy equipment operator certifications or licenses.
  • Experience with GPS-guided machinery.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
