Job Description

Barchester Healthcare is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Residential Care Worker on the Night Shift in Grimsby. No previous experience in care is required as we provide full, comprehensive training from day one. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a fulfilling journey in healthcare, supporting our residents during the quiet hours, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and mobility, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist residents with their nightly routines, ensuring they are comfortable and settled.
- Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies.
- Administer medication as per individual care plans (after full training and competency assessment).
- Maintain accurate and detailed care records, documenting observations and actions.
- Ensure the care home environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable for residents.
- Support residents with a friendly and reassuring presence, offering comfort and companionship.
- Communicate effectively with the day shift team, providing comprehensive handovers.
