Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in Granby, Quebec. This vital role involves assisting patients in their recovery from various illnesses, injuries, or surgeries, helping them achieve their maximum functional potential and return to independent living. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and social workers to develop and implement individualized care plans. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques, medication management, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning conferences.
Required Skills
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Quebec or eligibility for licensure.
- Demonstrated understanding of rehabilitation nursing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing.
- Proficiency in French (oral and written) is a significant asset.
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting.
