Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Fruit Pickers for the upcoming harvest season. This temporary role is ideal for those looking for outdoor work and offers an opportunity to fulfil 88-day sign off requirements for specific visa holders. While prior experience in fruit picking is a plus, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Successful candidates will be working outdoors, contributing directly to the harvesting of our delicious tropical fruits. Accommodation options are available on-site or nearby to support our picking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick a variety of tropical fruits according to quality standards and ripeness guidelines.
- Handle produce with care to prevent bruising and damage.
- Pack harvested fruits into designated containers or bins.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines on the farm.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work efficiently and meet daily picking targets.
- Report any issues with crops or equipment to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, occasional rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in fruit picking or general farm work.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
