Job Description
We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to join our team as Transit Train Cleaners on the Night Shift. This is a full-time, secure employment opportunity perfect for those who are meticulous, committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and prefer working during nighttime hours. As a key member of our operations team, you will ensure our light rail trains are spotless, hygienic, and ready to safely transport thousands of passengers daily. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge. This role is crucial for public health and safety, directly impacting the passenger experience and the smooth operation of our transit system.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of train interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean and restock restrooms if applicable within train facilities.
- Remove graffiti, smudges, and other blemishes from train exteriors and interiors.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers safely and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company cleaning standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and supplies used.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facilities maintenance roles is a plus, but not required as full training is provided.
- Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of public transportation systems.
