Job Description
Are you a budding game enthusiast with a burning desire to learn the ropes of game design and development? Forthland Games is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Game Design & Development Intern to join our vibrant indie studio. This is a unique chance for an individual with no prior professional experience to dive into the world of game creation, working alongside experienced developers on current and upcoming projects. You will gain hands-on experience across various stages of the development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to testing and launch. We are looking for someone with immense passion, a strong willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in brainstorming and conceptualizing new game features and mechanics.
- Contribute to level design, environmental storytelling, and gameplay flow under guidance.
- Help create and maintain game design documentation.
- Participate in playtesting sessions and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the team with various development tasks, potentially including asset management, basic scripting (if interested), or UI/UX mockups.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor games, and player feedback.
- Collaborate with artists, programmers, and producers to bring game ideas to life.
