Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Painting & Sculpture Studio Intern to join our vibrant creative community. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about visual arts, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic studio environment. We believe in nurturing talent and providing a supportive learning space where you can develop practical skills and gain valuable insight into the operations of a busy arts studio. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong willingness to learn and a genuine interest in painting and sculpture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting resident artists with project preparation and execution.
- Organizing and maintaining studio spaces, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Preparing art materials, including mixing paints, preparing canvases, and handling sculpting tools.
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of workshops, exhibitions, and events.
- Assisting with inventory management of art supplies and equipment.
- Learning proper handling and storage techniques for various art mediums.
- Performing general administrative tasks to support studio operations.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for painting, sculpture, and the visual arts.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety in a studio environment (or willingness to learn).
