Job Description
Join Metro Inc. as a Virtual Dietitian / Nutritionist and provide expert nutritional guidance to clients across Canada, all from the comfort of your home office. This is a 100% remote position where you will conduct virtual consultations, develop personalized meal plans, and support clients in achieving their health goals. We are looking for a passionate and empathetic professional dedicated to delivering exceptional client care through online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual nutrition assessments and consultations with clients.
- Develop personalized, evidence-based meal plans and dietary recommendations tailored to individual needs and health goals.
- Provide ongoing support, education, and motivational counseling to clients.
- Utilize virtual communication tools and electronic health records effectively.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nutritional science and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure holistic client care.
Required Skills
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent professional nutritionist certification in good standing with a Canadian provincial regulatory body.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective virtual consultations.
- Strong knowledge of nutritional science, dietetics, and therapeutic diets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms (e.g., video conferencing) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach with strong active listening skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
- Experience with various dietary approaches (e.g., plant-based, keto, specific allergies/intolerances).
- Experience in a retail or corporate wellness setting.
- Advanced certification in a specialty area (e.g., sports nutrition, diabetes education).
