Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Wind Turbine Technicians / Engineers to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. This is a unique opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to the operation and maintenance of cutting-edge wind turbine technology. We understand the global demand for talent in renewable energy, and as such, visa sponsorship will be provided for eligible candidates. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our wind farms, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Full training on our specific turbine models and safety protocols will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Inspect, test, and maintain wind turbine systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Respond to turbine breakdowns and alarm signals, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Complete accurate documentation of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to share knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance role (e.g., automotive, manufacturing, marine, aviation).
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Demonstrable commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4, HNC/HND, Bachelor's degree) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Basic Safety Training certification.
- Experience with SCADA systems or other diagnostic software.
- Prior experience working on wind turbines or in the renewable energy sector.
