Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior/Intermediate Web Developer to join our innovative Logistics Tech Lab in Port Adelaide. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications that streamline port operations, enhance data visualization, and improve overall supply chain management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a dynamic, startup-like environment backed by a stable, established organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal application performance.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry trends to propose and implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
- Familiarity with back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) and database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices
- Experience in an agile development environment
