Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all provided training programs, both classroom and field-based, to learn about gas and electricity distribution systems.
  • Assist experienced inspectors in conducting routine safety and compliance inspections of gas and electrical infrastructure, including meters, lines, and related equipment.
  • Learn to identify potential hazards, defects, and non-compliance issues and assist in documenting findings accurately.
  • Understand and apply relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NESC).
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and specialized inspection equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and occasionally customers regarding inspection activities and findings.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, reports, and digital documentation related to inspections.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
  • Physical ability to perform field work, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs, in various weather conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in a role requiring attention to detail or adherence to procedures.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical principles.
  • Customer service experience.
