Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and successfully complete all required training programs.
- Learn and apply correctional policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Supervise and monitor inmate activities to ensure safety, security, and compliance with rules.
- Conduct searches, inspections, and head counts as part of daily security routines.
- Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, including de-escalation and crisis intervention.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inmate behaviour and activities.
- Contribute to a safe and secure environment for both staff and inmates.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with inmates, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in criminology, social sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or social services.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a good driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Fluency in additional languages.
