Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised Towing Yard Inventory Clerk to join our busy Hammersmith operations. This outdoor-focused role involves accurately logging and tracking scrapped vehicles as they arrive and depart our yard. You will be instrumental in maintaining precise inventory records, ensuring efficient yard management, and contributing to the smooth flow of our vehicle processing operations. This physically active role requires someone comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately log all incoming and outgoing scrapped vehicles, noting key details such as make, model, VIN, and damage assessment.
- Utilise handheld scanners and computer systems to update inventory records in real-time.
- Conduct regular physical yard audits to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Organise and tag vehicles according to company procedures for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Assist in preparing vehicles for auction or disposal, including photographic documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment within the yard.
- Collaborate with yard team members, drivers, and administrative staff to streamline operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of vehicle types and components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or yard inventory role.
- Experience with inventory management software or systems.
- Forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of vehicle salvage or auction processes.
- Full UK driving licence.
