Job Description
Are you passionate about food and love interacting with people? Tesco is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Supermarket Taste Tester / Sampler to join our team in Colchester. In this engaging role, you’ll be the face of our latest and most exciting products, offering samples to customers and gathering valuable feedback to help shape our future offerings. Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively and positively with customers, offering samples of new and featured products.
- Clearly explain product features, benefits, and promotions to potential buyers.
- Gather and accurately record customer feedback on taste, texture, and overall appeal.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sampling station in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor sample inventory and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations related to food handling and preparation.
- Contribute to a positive shopping atmosphere by providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuinely friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Ability to confidently engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training provided).
- Ability to stand for extended periods during sampling events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or public interaction roles.
- A keen interest in food, cooking, and trying new products.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (beneficial but not essential, training can be provided).
