Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Suicide Prevention Awareness Intern to join our team in Norwich. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical mental health initiatives and gain hands-on experience in public health, community engagement, and awareness campaigns. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our suicide prevention programs, helping to reduce stigma, and promoting mental wellbeing within the local community. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals passionate about mental health and looking to start their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of suicide prevention awareness campaigns.
  • Support the organisation of community events and workshops aimed at mental health education.
  • Help create and distribute educational materials, including brochures, social media content, and presentations.
  • Conduct research on best practices in suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
  • Engage with community members and partners to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Provide administrative support to the suicide prevention team, including data entry and record keeping.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance understanding of mental health issues and support strategies.
