Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Spice Blending & Packaging Worker to join our day shift team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to work with aromatic spices, contribute to our production process, and grow with our company. You will be responsible for assisting in the blending, weighing, and packaging of various spice products, ensuring our high standards of quality and hygiene are maintained. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and blend spices according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including fillers, sealers, and labelers.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Label, sort, and package finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills for measuring and counting.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with HACCP or other food safety programs.
- Experience operating basic machinery.
