Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Site Security Marshall to join our team for night shifts in Bristol. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in security, as full training will be provided. As a Site Security Marshall, you will be crucial in maintaining the safety and security of our client’s premises during unsocial hours. Your primary role will involve vigilant patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to any security incidents, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site, both on foot and using company vehicles if required, to ensure the security of premises, assets, and personnel.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly and appropriately to any alerts or suspicious activity.
- Control access to the site, verifying credentials for all individuals entering and exiting, and managing visitor logs.
- Undertake regular checks on fire and security equipment, reporting any faults or issues.
- Respond effectively to incidents, including emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches, following established protocols.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily occurrence logs, and other required documentation.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence, deterring unauthorized activities.
- Liaise with emergency services, site management, and colleagues as required.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for report writing and record keeping.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Commitment to working night shifts, often including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical fitness suitable for patrolling duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK driving license (desirable but not essential for all sites).
- Basic knowledge of first aid (training can be provided).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- An interest in developing a career in the security industry.
