Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Auctioneer (Assistant) to join our dynamic team in Bristol. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual passionate about property, fine art, and the auction industry. The successful candidate will work closely with senior auctioneers and specialists, providing essential support across all stages of the auction process, from valuation and cataloguing to auction day operations and post-sale administration. This role offers hands-on experience and a clear pathway for professional development within a world-renowned auction house.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior auctioneers with valuations and appraisals of property and art objects.
- Support the cataloguing and preparation of lots for upcoming auctions, including research and photography coordination.
- Liaise with clients, providing excellent customer service regarding consignments, bids, and general inquiries.
- Aid in the setup and execution of auction viewings and events.
- Provide administrative support to the auction team, including data entry and documentation.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by assisting with promotional materials and social media content.
- Participate in auction day operations, including bid taking, clerking, and ensuring a smooth process.
- Undertake continuous learning to develop expertise in relevant property and art categories.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in Art History, Fine Art, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Fluency in a second language.
