Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic School Principal / Headmaster to lead our Sept-Iles campus. This executive role is critical to maintaining and enhancing our commitment to outstanding educational outcomes, fostering a positive school culture, and engaging effectively with students, staff, parents, and the broader community. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in educational administration, curriculum development, and staff management. This position comes with an attractive executive relocation package to support your move to the beautiful Sept-Iles region of Quebec.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school, aligning with the Group's mission and values.
- Oversee all aspects of school operations, including academic programs, student services, and administrative functions.
- Recruit, develop, and evaluate teaching and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all educational regulations, policies, and health and safety standards.
- Develop and manage the school budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school environment that supports student well-being, academic achievement, and character development.
- Engage actively with parents, community stakeholders, and local organizations to strengthen school-community partnerships.
- Lead curriculum development and implementation, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Manage student disciplinary procedures and promote a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the Board of Directors and other regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and administrative experience in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of educational pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and the community.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and crisis management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid Principal/Headmaster certification or equivalent.
- Fluency in French (oral and written) is a significant asset, given the Quebec context.
- Experience working in a diverse cultural environment.
- Knowledge of the Quebec education system and regulations.
