Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Scaffolders Labourer to join our dynamic team in Sunderland. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in construction. As a Scaffolders Labourer, you will play a crucial supporting role in the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring safe and efficient operations on various construction sites. Full training will be provided to the right candidate, emphasizing safety protocols and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Assist scaffolders in the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
- Load and unload scaffolding materials (tubes, fittings, boards) from vehicles and transport them around site.
- Organize and maintain scaffolding materials in designated storage areas.
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform general labouring duties as required on site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of site safety (training will be provided).
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Previous experience in a construction or manual labour role (though not essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
