Job Description
As an SAP Project Manager at Capgemini, you will be instrumental in leading complex SAP implementation and transformation projects for our diverse client portfolio. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of SAP solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical understanding of SAP, and excellent client management skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project scope, manage resources, mitigate risks, and drive successful outcomes that deliver tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP implementation and upgrade projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and clients.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure adherence to Capgemini's project methodologies, quality standards, and governance processes.
- Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and present to stakeholders.
- Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new SAP solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an SAP Project Manager on multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, HCM).
- Demonstrable experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
- Solid financial management and budgeting skills related to project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Background in consulting services.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of emerging SAP technologies like SAP Cloud Platform, Fiori.
