Are you looking to kickstart your career in a practical and impactful role? Bunzl Safety is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Entry-Level Safety Signage Installer to join our team in Toowoomba. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of safety signs and markings at client sites across the local Toowoomba area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contributing to a safer environment for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hands-on, enjoys working outdoors, and is eager to learn and grow within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely install various types of safety signage, including warning, informational, directional, and emergency signs.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions for precise sign placement.
- Use a range of hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Adhere strictly to all site-specific safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare work areas, including cleaning and ensuring proper surface readiness for sign installation.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting signage materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients on job progress and requirements.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including job completion reports and safety checklists.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to working safely and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) for Queensland.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience using basic hand tools (even from hobbies or personal projects).
- Familiarity with local safety standards and regulations.
