Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Robotics & Automation Intern to join our Research & Development team in Llandudno. This is an incredible opportunity for an aspiring engineer or computer scientist to gain hands-on experience in a real-world R&D setting. You will work alongside experienced engineers and researchers, contributing to exciting projects that are shaping the future of robotics. This entry-level internship is perfect for individuals eager to learn and apply foundational knowledge in a practical, fast-paced environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of robotic prototypes and automated systems.
  • Support the R&D team in conducting experiments and collecting data.
  • Contribute to software development for robot control, simulation, and data analysis.
  • Help maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and robotic platforms.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies relevant to ongoing projects.
  • Prepare documentation and reports on project progress and findings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Learn and adhere to best practices in robotics engineering and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of robotics, mechatronics, or automation principles.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mind.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with robotic operating systems (ROS).
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and circuit design.
  • Previous academic projects involving robotics or automation.
