Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiographer / Sonographer to join our dedicated team in Banbury. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound examinations (for Sonographers).
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and appropriate image acquisition techniques.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, comfort, and safety throughout all procedures.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety protocols.
  • Review and assess image quality, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, medical professionals, and other healthcare staff.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all relevant radiation safety regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff or students as required.

Required Skills

  • BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a Radiographer or Sonographer.
  • Proficiency in performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
  • Strong understanding of radiation protection and patient safety principles.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification or postgraduate qualification in a specific imaging modality (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound).
  • Experience with PACS/RIS systems.
  • Previous experience in a private healthcare setting.
  • Evidence of leadership or mentorship experience.
