Job Description
SA Water is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations Intern for a Media Relations Placement in Port Augusta. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring communications professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. You will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of our Public Relations team, learning directly from experienced professionals. This placement is designed to provide comprehensive training and practical skills in media engagement, content creation, and stakeholder communication. No prior professional experience in PR is required; we are looking for keen learners with a passion for communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the PR team in drafting media releases, statements, and other communication materials.
- Support media monitoring activities and compile daily news summaries.
- Help organize and coordinate media events, interviews, and community engagement activities.
- Conduct research on media trends, public perception, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Maintain and update media contact databases.
- Provide general administrative support to the Public Relations department.
