Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of complex construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project updates and issue resolution.
  • Manage project finances, including cost control, budget forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in managing complex construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Solid financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, APM, CIOB).
  • Experience with sustainable construction practices or BIM.
  • Previous experience with commercial, residential, or public sector projects in Northern Ireland.
