Job Description
Are you passionate about podcasts and eager to break into the world of audio production? Veridian Creative Hub is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Podcast Production Assistant to join our growing team in Canterbury. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with little to no prior professional experience in audio editing. We believe in nurturing talent, and comprehensive training will be provided to help you develop essential skills in audio recording, editing, sound design, and post-production workflows. If you have a keen ear, a strong desire to learn, and a love for storytelling through sound, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior producers with recording sessions, ensuring audio quality and setup.
- Learn and apply basic audio editing techniques using industry-standard software (training provided).
- Support the post-production process, including noise reduction, leveling, and mixing.
- Organize and manage audio files and project assets.
- Contribute to the sound design and music selection for various podcast episodes.
- Help with quality control checks on finished episodes before publication.
- Assist with uploading and scheduling podcast content on various platforms.
- Provide general administrative support to the production team as needed.
Required Skills
- A genuine passion for podcasts and audio storytelling.
- Eagerness and ability to learn new software and technical skills quickly.
- Basic computer proficiency (PC or Mac).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
