Job Description
As the Operations Director, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions within our UK division. You will drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve service delivery, and ensure the seamless execution of our business processes. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, change management, and team leadership, contributing directly to our ongoing success and growth in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals and market demands.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of operations managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization using technology and best practices.
- Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting to achieve financial targets.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, product, and customer service to ensure integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Drive change management initiatives to adapt to evolving business needs and market conditions.
- Report on operational performance to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role (Director level or above)
- Extensive knowledge of operational best practices and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on talent development
- Excellent strategic planning and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant operational efficiencies and cost reductions
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field
- Experience in the financial services or payments industry
- Certification in project management (PMP) or operational excellence (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt)
- Experience with large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- A track record of successful cross-functional collaboration in a complex matrix organization
