Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Night Shift Security Guard to join our team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in security, as full training will be provided. As a Night Shift Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client’s premises, personnel, and assets throughout the night. Your keen eye for detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a secure environment will be crucial to your success in this role. You will work independently and as part of a wider security network, adhering to all protocols and responding effectively to any security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding to any alerts promptly and professionally.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for entry and exit, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Deter illegal activities and report any suspicious behaviour or incidents to management.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches according to established procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Ensure all security equipment is functional and report any faults.
- Liaise with emergency services when required.
Required Skills
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for night shifts.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Willingness to obtain an SIA (Security Industry Authority) license upon employment (training and support provided).
- Ability to follow strict procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- First Aid certification.
- Basic knowledge of security principles.
- Full UK driving license.
