Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Loading Bay Operative to join our night shift team in Ipswich. This is an immediate start position crucial to ensuring the efficient and timely movement of parcels through our busy distribution centre. You will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, sorting parcels, and maintaining a safe and organised loading bay. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload parcels from delivery vehicles, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Scan and sort parcels accurately into correct cages and bays for onward distribution.
- Operate manual handling equipment, such as pump trucks, efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment within the loading bay.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
- Report any damaged parcels or equipment issues to a supervisor promptly.
