Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the culinary world? Outback Steakhouse in Johns Creek is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. No previous experience is required – we believe in nurturing talent and will provide all the training you need to succeed. This is an immediate start position where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our bustling kitchen. Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery using a dishwasher or by hand.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
- Support kitchen staff by cleaning work surfaces, floors, and equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed (e.g., peeling vegetables).
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and stored properly.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen area regularly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of hygiene principles (training will be provided).
