Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Janitor to join our facilities team in Wolverhampton. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our customers and colleagues. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided to ensure you have all the skills needed to excel in this role. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas of our store meet our strict hygiene and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all public and staff areas.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Basic understanding of cleaning methods (training will be provided).
