Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investor Relations Manager to join our dynamic team in Port Talbot. This crucial role involves acting as a primary liaison between Tata Steel UK and the investment community. You will be instrumental in communicating our financial performance, strategic vision, and operational updates to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional financial acumen, communication skills, and a deep understanding of capital markets. This is an on-site position based in Port Talbot, and relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver investor presentations, financial reports, and press releases.
  • Manage the quarterly earnings call process, including script development, Q&A preparation, and follow-up.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify investor trends and insights.
  • Monitor and analyze stock performance, analyst reports, and market perception of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory disclosure requirements and investor communication best practices.
  • Coordinate investor roadshows, conferences, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, finance, legal, and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or CFA designation (or progress towards).
  • Experience in the manufacturing or heavy industry sector.
  • Prior experience working for a publicly traded company.
  • Familiarity with IR software platforms and CRM systems.
