Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Hospitality Revenue Management Intern to join our dynamic team in Swansea. This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience in the critical field of revenue management within a leading hotel group. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship, allowing you to develop essential skills in data analysis, market research, and strategic pricing. No prior experience in revenue management is required; we are looking for a keen learner with a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data, competitor pricing, and historical performance trends.
  • Support the Revenue Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports and forecasts.
  • Learn and utilize revenue management software and tools to identify opportunities for optimizing hotel profitability.
  • Contribute to the analysis of demand patterns, booking pace, and pricing strategies for various market segments.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to understand business needs and support strategic initiatives.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the revenue management department.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to ongoing projects.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, charting).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to the hospitality industry (e.g., part-time hotel role, volunteer experience).
  • Basic understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., ADR, RevPAR, Occupancy).
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) or central reservation systems (CRS).
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to a diverse guest base.
